Privacy Policy
Last updated 23 October 2026
Amen is published by o1ne.ai for the praying of the Rosary and other devotions, on Android and on iPhone. This policy explains what the app does with information about you. It is written to be read rather than to be impressive, because a policy nobody finishes protects nobody.
What the app does not do
There are no accounts. You never give the app a name, an email address or a phone number, and there is nothing for anybody to sign in to. Nothing you do in the app is attached to your identity, because the app does not know it.
Nothing is sold, rented or handed to advertisers. There is no advertising in the app, no analytics service, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
What stays on your phone
Your settings — the language you pray in, the theme, reminders, the prayers you have saved for offline use, how far through a devotion or a novena you are, your own prayer notes and calendar entries, and which announcements you have read — are kept on the phone and nowhere else. They are removed when you uninstall the app.
Prayers, recordings, pictures and the Bible you download are stored on your phone too, so they can be prayed without a signal. You can see how much space they take and delete them at any time in Settings.
What reaches a server
To fetch the prayers, the app asks rosary.o1ne.ai for the published prayer library, the events calendar and whether a newer version has been released. As with any request over the internet, the server receives your device’s IP address and the type of request. It is used to deliver what was asked for and to stop abuse, not to build a picture of you.
Three things come from elsewhere, and none of them carries anything of yours beyond the request itself: the Mass readings and the saint of the day from the open Catholic Readings API, a saint’s life and picture from Wikipedia, and the Bible text from the open Free Use Bible API. Each sees only that some device asked for a day or a chapter.
If you allow notifications, the app registers with Firebase Cloud Messaging, a Google service, which issues an anonymous token for your installation so a message can be delivered to it. The token identifies the installation, not you, and Google’s handling of it is governed by Google’s own privacy policy. Turn notifications off in your phone’s settings and the app stops using it.
Downloading the app itself is between you and Google Play or the App Store. What those stores record about a download, and what they tell us about it, is governed by their own policies; we see only anonymous totals.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anybody, children included.
Your rights
There is nothing of yours for us to hold, correct or delete, because nothing of yours is sent to us. Everything the app knows about you is on your phone: clear it in Settings, or uninstall the app, and it is gone. If you believe otherwise, write and we will look.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the new version appears here and in the app.
